Gothenburg Art Museum
This museum is home to the world’s finest collection of 19th century Nordic art. The Furstenberg Gallery includes pieces by leading Gothenbord donor Pontus Furstenberg and the museum also holds a wide array of both older and contemporary Nordic and international art. Some highlights include pieces by Monet, Picasso and Rembrandt. The museum itself has been awarded three stars in the Michelin Greed Guide.
Universeum
This public science centre and museum opened in 2001 is divided into six sections, each offering unique workshops and collections of different reptiles, fish and insects. It is also home to special events that see local students being given the opportunity to debate Nobel-prize winners and professors Sections includes but are not limited to an Ocean Zone, Rainforest, Deadly Beauties exhibit and more.
