Djakneberget
A large park that feels like a forest, the location offers views of the Vasteras skyline in a central setting. The park includes an array of historical monuments throughout as well as a playground for children and even a restaurant overlooking the city which has received 5-star reviews from a variety of gourmet critics. Botaniska Tradgarden
This botanical garden is the oldest high school garden in Sweden, having been erected in the 18th century. It is located near the Vasteras Cathedral. While the garden was originally used to grow cabbage, it was destroyed by a fire in 1714. It was redeveloped as a high-class botanical garden in the 19th century. Guided tours are available of the garden, being available for booking via the Vasteras Tourist Centre.
